Help!

I'm new. First of all, I'm late. What's the best way to get on track?
Second of all, do I post what I've written each day somewhere?
Thanks!

-I would nag myself. "Did you write your 2k today? No? Do it now!" Leave reminders around the house. Jot down notes/ideas on how you want the story to start. Or chain yourself to the computer.
-No, unless you want someone to critique it or give you advice if you're stuck with a certain scene.

If you mean you want to post your word count, there is a place on the Edit Profile menu in the same section as your IM names and location to enter the info.

Aim for 2K or more a day. If you had started right at the beginning of the month and wanted to finish with exactly 50,000 words at the end, you would need to write 1613 words per day. So if you aim for 2K or more, you'll eventually catch up and maybe even get ahead. No, you don't need to post anything anywhere, but you can enter your word count in your profile when log on, if you want.

You're not alone. I started on the third and I'm still way behind, it doesn't help I'm one of the most easily distracted people ever...

Just write. :D That's what I'm attempting to do.

I didn't write at alllll the first day, and have been lacking every other day until today, when I've started to catch up. Writing longhand does me wonders -nodnod- Which is why I am now doing so much better >__>

Maybe you could try writing longhand and typeing it up later, like I am? (:

I'm sure you'll find something that works for you and you'll catch up in no time... Goodluck! x3

Umm... on that longhand thing. Most of the time I write in longhand. Should I inlcude paragraph breaks, new chapters, proper dialouge construction, etc in the longhand or insert in when typing everything up?

I would personally write it with proper grammar, but that's because I'm a grammar freak. If I wrote with improper grammar, it could kill me. :) I would do whatever seems to be faster for you.

I include all of that. But you could do it either way I suppose... I'd just fear that it would get too confusing to remember where to put in the new chapters, paragraph breaks, etc. I mean, why not just write it out if it is right there, rather then having to go back and find it when you type it all up. Plus it would be extra work when typing it up o.O But it's however you wanna do it xP

Thanks for clearing that up with me (I love writing but can't ever seem to finish anything except poems). Has anyone ever tried Randy Ingermanson's advancedfictionwriting.com Snowflake Method for writing a novel? O.o

The Snowflake Method was pretty popular last year, but I've never had the patience for it.
