My JulNo is a Heathers-ish look at a private high school in Massachusetts. The plot gets kind of out-there sometimes, what with a couple of teenagers pulling off a murder and kidnapping/ransom, but the goal is to make the characters and their relationship very realistic so as to make the plot believable.

Oh! That sounds like a lot of fun! I loved Heathers. The pacing and atmosphere was so great. The idea of mixing that kind of levity with such a dark base subject always drew me. Good luck on your book!

Introducing myself

Hi.
I'm getting a late start, but I hope to write a young adult novel during the month of July.

I haven't got word one down yet, but will be at my computer this evening.

I wrote a YA during nano 2004 and hope to have it edited by Nano 2005.

I'm going to come right out and tell you all I'm 55 years old. Just had my birthday yesterday. I know most, or all of you are very young, but this old lady feels 17 at heart.

Not all are so young. I'm 28 and depending on the day, I either feel 17 or 70. O.o

I want to write young adult one day. That's the genre I thought I'd write back when I decided to be a writer in 6th grade. Instead I'm writing paranormal romance and urban fantasy. But hey, one of these days....

I was also thinking that most everyone on was young. I am 25 years old. I guess I have never thought of myself as young or old.
I am still not sure what genre my story is going to fall in. I think it will probably end up as a romantic mystery. We shall she how that words flow :-)

I am sixteen...I always thought that I was pretty young. Especially because I go in the #nanowrimo chatroom a lot, and most of the people in there are older than me. I was fifteen at the time of NaNo, and I was one of the youngest people in there.

My novel is based off of The Game, and some creepy thought I had about my biology teacher dissapearing on the bus one day.

For those of you unfamiliar with The Game:

I THINK that that is the link. I sure hope it is.

Huzzah!

*is hit with a stick*

Actually, that website is a lot different than it was when we first saw it. It talks about how you lose if you kill yourself to try to win. Teh creepy! Unfortunately, I'm not incorporating that into my novel. Or maybe....ooh, this is an idea...pencil! Notebook! Rawr!
