^ Once. It didn't work. Well, it sort of did, but I haven't gone back to it. I should though, but the next book is a sequel, and I want to finish the first one before that. Actually, I have two sequels, and they need to come in order. So there.

^ Most understanding, hmm. My best friend Megan, I guess. She writes paranormal romance - but at quite a slow pace. Least understanding would be an ex-boyfriend (who stole 30 from me a few weeks ago - and I only get 80 a month! The bas~rd), who when I said "I'm writing today", he would tell me to put to down and spend more time with him. Continuously asked questions like, "What is more important to you - your novel, or me?" and if I insisted that I must work on it, he would ask if he can come and just sit quietly at the end of my bed (I write in my bed) while I work just 'cause he wanted to be near me. How could anyone write while being watched!? Oh, and all of this stuff was *after* the break-up. He was relatively normal and didn't know of my writing at the time.

< Umm, sorry... I can't exactly tell my friend's about him because a lot of them are his mates too so yeah. Can't get him out of my life because he refuses to leave. ><

v What was the first (short or novel(la)-length) story you ever completed about?

^ Ummm, honestly I couldn't say. That's just how bad Son of Somebody was. It was also my first NaNo, so it can be somewhat forgiven, but not really.
> And I haven't finished one since. Well, a few short stories, but nothing major.

^ Not prose, but I really love some of my poetry. I've written a few poems about Addiction which I think are good - I think one of them really captures the 'give it up tomorrow' aspect of drug addiction. I've always really loved one of my spoken word pieces about insomnia, it sort of reminds me of bits of the narration in Fight Club.
> It is probably a bad thing that I've never really liked, let alone loved, any prose I've ever written. Hopefully nce I edit my JulNo that will change.

^ When I get stuck with my writing I talk over my plot problems with my hamster. She's a wonderful listener and just talking them over out loud often helps me to work out where I'm going wrong. If I need to talk to a person, my best friend is usually pretty good for pointing out where I'm going wrong/not making sense.

^ There was one day where I spent all day trying to figure out what I could do next, right at the beginning of a chapter and nothing. And I was on a car trip too, so a whole day of writing wasted.
> And right now. Yeah my novel's done, but I started something new and it's coming slowly. Just not catching my attention yet.

^I have two (neither mine though). One: It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid then to open it and remove all doubt -Mark Twain. :) I think it's meaning is pretty clear. Two: Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too hard to read. -Groucho Marx. This one makes me laugh every time. I don't think that there's a meaning though...

>must do something other then watch Ironman :)

^ Yes, I was writing a romantic scene this JulNo actually, between my MC and his to-be boyfriend. They'd been refusing for ages to do what I wanted, I was tired and when they finally sorted it out I was so happy I cried. They'd turned every other could-be-romatic scene into rubbish, despite a lot of effort on my part. I'm odd like that. Oh, and killing off a minor character in last years NaNo, who'd I'd grown very attached to.

> Treat to myself for finishing JulNo (John Barrowman CD) was so worth waiting for. :D

v Have you ever talked yourself through a scene in your writing to work out what would happen, only to realise there are people listening? (By talking through, I mean speaking out dialogue, what each character may be thinking/doing etc. When I do it, I do it with the different voices for different characters. xD)

^ Never, it all stays in my head. My friend does that though, I find it rather hilarious. 'cause she usually does it in a completely silent classroom - but she has her (or, more often that not, my stolen) earphones in, so everyone except her can hear what she's saying. XD

< Augno has started! I've written zilch. Oh what a productive month this shall be.

v When is it the hardest to motivate yourself to write? (eg: time of day, state of being, etc.)
