Let's see...

Young man journeys to find the truth behind the church that rules his country.

That's what fits...for now. I'm still in the process of worldbuilding.

-----

Of course, now I'll be curious to read the novels mentioned here. Everybody always comes up with such good ideas, but we never get to share our writing. I guess some do, but I wouldn't as I *hope* to seek publication upon finishing. However, those of you who don't have qualms about sharing your work, please let us know. I promise I won't steal it, I've got too many ideas of my own to write. :D Plus, there's all that work I have to do getting my degree, it's probably not a good idea to write a novel anyway...

...and he can do that, and she can do this, and he can react like that, and she can slap him, and he can yell at her, and then a dead body can come crashing through the ceiling... yippee! XD

It was my JulNoWriMo project last year... I think it loses a little something without the second half (which at this point is pretty much a total rewrite). But if you want, I can post the opening few chapters, they are a bit rough as I haven't gone through with my inner- editor and I was just banging out words. One will also notice I don't indent my paragraphs only because of how I can really get into the flow of typing, after I unlock my inner-editor such things will happen.

The real page turner comes halfway through the book, where the story changes point-of-view from Don Quixote to Sancho... you try to sync up fictitious events with what actually happened. I'm still trying to work on making it seem like it could "sorta" happen. And there's some scenes that I have to carefully write, as I have to delicately tell a story that seems pretty plausible.

A lot of how I envisioned it at the beginning of last year's JulNoWriMo changed when I realized I was relying on Sancho to get me started in writing, and should have stuck with actually starting with Don Quixote, because he really took the story in some interesting directions that Sancho doesn't even begin to cover.

(By-the-by, not the character names, I'm using them as a point of reference for those who are familiar with the "Man of La Mancha" story)

So speaking of which which forum would I post such story segments?

I like the name Fugue and Toccata. Although getting it to appear in the fantasy section and not the music section might be challenge. It's a nice play on the word "Fugue", and I don't think I've ever heard Toccata refer to royalty training before, but I'm sure it's very similar to having your right hand feel like it's going to fall off after a half-hour of study (Or perhaps having your head fall off after dealing with all that fugue ;) ).
