5 million, we rock

Well, it's 12:45 over here on the east coast, and we're already over 5 mill. High fives all around! That's incredible! That's pretty darn close to double last year's word count.
And who knows, maybe by the time all the time zones hit midnight, we'll be at double last year's (~5.5 mill).
Great going guys, congratulations all around. It's been a great month.
I'm going to bed. :D :D :D

We all knew we'd do it, really. The number of winners this year, though, is fantastic. Congratulations to all 63 who have already entered a high enough word count.

Okay, I made it by yesterday but I was away on holiday on July 31 when I got past the 50 000 word mark and wrote my "The End." No internet access so I updated my status bar today.

We're on the honour (Canadian spelling) system here so I made it whether I get counted or not.

Congrats to all you other JulNoWriMos. I celebrated by drinking a glass of port with my (very patient) husband. How did everyone else celebrate?

Hurm.
I re-read watchmen and started making a jacket. It's about halfway through.
And I worked out, because re-reading watchmen and the Comedian inspired me.
...
Don't ask.
I guess I didn't really "celebrate", huh? I am gonna print the whole damn thing out, double spaced, (I write single spaced and edit double-spaced...just a thing...) and edit it that way. I prefer editing by hand, because then I can draw arrows and write nonsensical things in the corners. Just a preference.
Wow I'm so boring. I should have a glass of wine tomorrow night or something, just to feel like I celebrated...

I'm also someone who prefers to make my notes by hand...and write the second draft out starting with a completely new document. I find if I have to type it all anyway I'm less inclined to copy and paste sections and more likely to actually revise.

I celebrated by starting to look at apartment listings for my upcoming move, which is pretty boring, I guess.

I also prefer to edit by hand- a habit acquired, I suppose, from editing people's research papers! Once I've finished making my notaions, I return to the original document, make my changes, and save it seperately, as the next draft. Then I print up that draft and give it to someone else to edit. Preferably several someone else's. Then I combine their revisions and see what changes I have to make to the document, saving it, again, as a seperate document.

Noveling and Icons take up more space on my computer than anything else, from games to school to work.

I celebrated by starting AugNo. Because I'm crazy.

I always print off with double line spacing (when I can afford it :D) and then I scribble and I cross bits out and rewrite. The only problem is that some sections are illegible through the coloured ink, and others are almost unchanged - I pay too much attention to some bits and not any others.

I celebrated with a victory dance and then nine hours of sleep. :D I did, after all, finish at 11:58.
