I'm working on a book set in Russia, and I don't know any Russian. I have a character who doesn't know any English. Now, if I put the Cyrillic characters in his speech, it would look strange in the book. Does anyone know Russian who would be willing to translate a few things?

Erm...no, I really can't. It's part of a post-apocalyptic trilogy. He learns English halfway through the book, though, and no one else uses Russian.

I just need a site that will write out the translation instead of using Cyrillic symbols, because the Cyrillic looks strange in my book, and I want it written out the long way.

Here are two answers i got concerning your problem. hope the sites they gave help!

Have a look at Russian Translit. They can transliterate from Latin script to Russian Cyrillic letters and vice versa : http://translit.cc/

What you need is to transliterate the Russian words into Latin (e.g. English) letters. You can do it yourself letter-by-letter using a transliteration mapping from e.g. Wikipedia [1] or you can use a great online Translit converter [2].
