Starting over...

Okay, so my first novel wasn't going so well. I only made it to the 6,000 something mark and haven't written on it for a while. This really suck because this is my first Julno and I give up half way...

But, a new idea has appeared to me.XD I was trying to write a few words on my novel and it was like I had an epiphany. What if I wrote about a person who is participating in JulNo. Then my brain starting working and I began typing.

I didn't get very far tonight because I started only a few minutes ago. But I think this idea should grow and hopefully I'll be able to reach 50,000 by the 31st...He, I hope so.

So that means I have only 10 days to write a novel. Oh joy! Well here I go!

I started all over again, and I've already got 5 times as much done on my second novel as I did in a tenth of the time I spent on the first.

(Does that make sense..?)

Anyway, good for you. JulNo's so much better when you can't stop thinking about your novel. I can't. It was the last think I thought of last night and the first thing I thought of this morning (admittedly I fell asleep while writing and woke up with the words on my cheek in black ink...)

JulNo \'07: 59,557 words.
NaNo \'07: 52,452 words.
JulNo \'08: 53,556 words.
NaNo \'08: epic fail.
JulNo \'09: 19,949 words.
Ever since then? Eep, university.

I'll see how much I can write today and if it's a lot, then i will be proud of myself. And I will know if I can acomplish 50,000.

Fell asleep while writing! Ha that is funny! I bet it took some time to wash off the ink. :D

Thanks for the support guys, I really appreciate it!:)

I started over too. Just keep in mind that the words you wrote on your first novel still count towards your 50,000 words - you don't have to write all on the same novel in JulNo.

I have much more juice this time around. I don't understand how someone can come up with 16,000 words in a day, though. :P

Novel synopsis:

\"Elliott is teenager growing up in a fictional, futuristic fascist state, where war and soldiering are glorified, and where dissidents and criminals are sent to reeducation camps for torture and brainwashing. Aware of his own homosexuality, for which he doesn\'t even have a name except for Criminal against Nature and Nation, Elliott runs away from his small-town home to the City. He\'s heard through illegal Network data that there are clandestine gangs of youth like him providing each other with care, love, and foster, and he travels there in the wild hope of living more than shame, terror, and loneliness.

It\'s a dark and scary, warm and smutty tale of rebellion of those who lust for freedom and each other, pitted against those whose only high is to reduce others to powerlessness. \"

by only sleeping 3 out of 24 hours. O.o
I honestly don't remember any of Lucy's section, which was written between midnight and 6 am that day. like, i've been doing a little editing, and i'll read her section and be like "oh, i wrote that? huh."
but, the section was about a schizophrenic (sort of) so it kind of works. :P

I didn't do it again last night, but to prove that you can do it, I've been out every day, had at least an hour on Rock Band, and I've done a good 20k in the last three days. And there's still eight to go.
