Anyone setting other goals for July?

I know that for a lot of people, probably myself included, dedicating July to writing 50,000 words is a task that will take up every bit of free time we have to spare this month. However, I'm an all-or-nothing kind of person, and I usually work much better when I have a lot of things to do and can switch focus between goals when I'm getting burned out on one.

This is the first month in many years where I'll be away from both work and school at the same time. Sounds like the perfect month to make some lasting changes in my life, right? I've come up with a little list of goals for myself, all to be accomplished in July.

1. Finish JulNoWriMo (obviously), and hopefully finish the first draft of my novel in the process.
2. Lose ten pounds by eating right and exercising every day.
3. Get my apartment cleaned up and organized (with FlyLady.net as my support).

Is anyone else planning on setting more July goals? Come on, we can all crash and burn together! XD

Well, on top of the 50,00 words (no BIG deal, right? :P) I also:

- Have to attempt to update some of my other fics every once in awhile.

- Have to write another fic, which is set to total 4,000 - 5,000 words

- Write a oneshot equaling 1,000 words or more.

-Appear in court today (The FIRST day of JulNo) and not spaz out.

- Try to keep myself off of The Sims 2- and all of the glorious downloads (:()

- Get ready for college in the next month.

And

-Keep the dog from soaking the carpet- and a whole list of more stuff.

UGH.

Get in some activity every day, instead of sitting at the computer all the time. Clean my apartment. Perfect the robot dance technique. Stay sane...?

1. Go to the gym 3-4 times a week.
2. Continue to lose weight (or at the very least not gain any)
3. Keep the side project I'm working on from totally sucking

The gym's a good one.

I just want to finish my novel. Doesn't matter to me if I write 50k or not. I want it to be finished and I want it to be decent. ;)

Aside from the obvious? XP

1. Not mess up my sleeping pattern too badly
2. Once I go back to school, do ALL of my homework and go to bed early so I can get up a few hours earlier
3. Tidy my room; show my mother that I'm ready to move rooms so she hurries up with her part of the deal >___>
4. Make more progress towards learning how to knit
5. Hey, might as well: finish JulNoWriMo!

My Goals for July 2008

  1. Complete 50,000 words of my novel for JulNoWriMo - which will leave me with a total of 75,000 words written - only 15,000 left to go in August
  2. Get more exercise - Try to exercise for at least half an hour per day, even if it's just a walk
  3. Stop Procrastinating!

I've added more goals to my list, just so July can be even more hectic than it already is. And as long as we're posting out progress...

1. Not mess up my sleeping pattern too badly
THIS I'm failing, but I'm on holidays, so I figure it doesn't matter as much. The last week - next week - I'll be forced to get up really early in the morning, so I'll likely be going to be around 10 rather than 1 AM, which is when I finally got to sleep last night.

4. Make more progress towards learning how to knit
I haven't actually started yet, but I have made progress! My aunt's going to teach me once a week, when she comes over for dinner. I think I'm knitting a scarf, which will be pretty cool. I had a turn with a scarf that she was knitting, but the needles were ENORMOUS and I kept mucking up. With smaller needles, though, I should be able to do quite well. :D

As of this evening, I'm trying to learn as much Finnish as possible in one month for no reason at all. This is going to coincide just wonderfully with julno...

Yes, I have other goals.
  1. For JulNo, I intend to finish the second draft of my '07 NaNo novel.
  2. Rewrite the script for at least the first issue of my manga.
  3. Write 50 songs in 90 days. This month, write at least 10 songs.
  4. Finish learning how to draw the human head, and start learning the rest of the figure.
  5. Learn how to sing better and play the guitar. Understand music theory better.
  6. Update my blogs more often.
That should keep me busy this month. ;)
