What are you reading?

What's everybody been reading lately?

I'm currently working on finishing the last book in the Divergent series, Allegiant.

I'm re-reading one of my favorite books by one of my favorite authors from when I was younger, Trickster's Choice by Tamora Pierce, and to my delight I'm finding it just as engaging as I remembered it to be :)

I've also been working on The Miseducation of Cameron Post by emily m danforth since spring break and I'm almost done but it's gotten sad so it may be a little while yet before I finish it :P

I just finished The Fault In Our Stars. Now I'm planning a double feature: Start with V for Vendetta then march off to Philly to watch TFIOS with my BFF! ^_^

I'm currently reading Springboard by G. Richard Shell. I've only gotten through the first chapter but I already know it's going to be a really helpful book.

Thief's Magic by Trudi Canavan, Sworn Virgin by Elvira Dones, and Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen. I also want to finish The Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenides and Someday Someday Maybe by Lauren Graham, both of which I began reading earlier this year but haven't finished yet.

I just finished reading Orange is the New Black: My Time in a Women's Prison by Piper Kerman, after watching the Netflix series based on it. It was interesting to see what stuff was the same and what they changed for the series.

I'm also trying to read Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. I only started it recently. I'm still on the bit about the Bishop. Hopefully it's going to get more interesting once Valjean turns up.

Mark Lawhead, Prince of Fools.

Recently completed reads include Katherine Addison's The Goblin Emperor, which I really enjoyed, Seanan McGuire's Half-Off Ragnarok, and Elizabeth Bear's Steles of the Sky. (I'm between jobs and have a lot of time to read!)

Reading

Lynn Flewelling's Luck In the Shadows: The Nightrunner series. Seems to be a pretty popular pick in queer fantasy.

Unfortunately, that's all right now. With my job and writing it's hard to find enough time to read more than a book at a time. It makes the book last longer, which is nice. :)

I just finished The Fault in Our Stars. I've been listening to Dark Places by Gillian Flynn, but I don't think audiobooks are gonna be my thing. I'm about the start The Lightning Thief, as well as a whole lot of books about literacy for my professional development this summer.

I'm reading Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

"Can make you wish you were born in another time and space. But you can bet you life times that and twice its double. That God knew exactly where he wanted you to be placed
so make sure when you say you're in it but not of it. You're not helping to make this earth a place sometimes called Hell. Change your words into truths and then change that truth into love." - Stevie Wonder

The Goldfinch by Donna Tart and Fall of Giants by Ken Follett.

I also just picked up The Lost Hero (Heroes of Olympus) by Rick Riordan as a lighter read.
