You have an Etsy account? I WANNA SEE!

So I met the Hannibal cast and crew (minus the two main leads because they were filming other things) yesterday and the Welcome to Night Vale creators/cast and I AM SO HAPPY ABOUT IT. I'm having the two creators of WtNV sign my writing binder on Sunday. ^_^ (And I'm gonna buy a Night Vale Community Radio mug and I'm not sorry.)

I too am running out of time to write; I'm busy the next two days but hopefully the last four days I can pump out a bunch of words. We'll see how much of this second book I can get through before August.

Dude, yes. https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheThingamabobs
My sister and I set it up, but I ended up making most of the shoes.

I'm super jealous. I wish I could go to a convention. And meet the cast of Hannibal.

Those are awesome! I love the Stag and Doe ones. (James and Lily!) ^_^

It's a really crazy experience, especially considering I'm meeting celebrities through my school? which is weird haha.

Just popping in to let every one know that I am fabulous and I just FINISHED MY NOVEL.

Wooooh.

Okay, so it's book 1 of a probably 4 book series. But it's still the longest first draft I've ever written at 186k.

Hell yeaaa!

I AM SO PROUD OF YOU AND THAT'S A CRAZY AMOUNT OF WORDS.

I need to write a crazy amount of words over the next few days.

Also my level of existential crisis is heightened after seeing the Thrilling Adventure Hour and Welcome to Night Vale Crossover Show because IT WAS SO GOOD WOW and now I'm like art??? career path??? WHY CAN'T I DO EVERYTHING WITH MY LIFE???

(The simple answer is "I can!" but the complicated answer is "I can if I figure out how!")

But in all seriousness the show was amazing and Wil Wheaton was a special guest star and the cast of WtNV is the CUTEST.

^ I've been having that crisis as well since I graduate in December.

TO CELEBRATE MY COMPLETE NOVEL MY BOYFRIEND AND I FINISHED OUR REWATCH OF AVATAR. I am emotion.
But I'm glad you enjoyed your show as well!

Novel related talk though: this is the first novel I've ever completed that I don't have a total sense of satisfaction.
I think it's because I KNOW there's a lot more to the story... a few more books. And that kind of bothers me. I've never written a series before and I dislike this feeling because instead of being like "yes the story is told" I'm like "WAIT NO THERE'S SO MUCH STORY LEFT."

And I don't even think this novel would work well alone. Some series have a novel in it, often the first, that COULD stand alone if you wanted it to... This one can't.
I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO.

I'm glad you had fun rewatching Avatar! :D

I kind of feel that; it happened with the book I just finished this month, mostly because it ends on a cliffhanger. But also I tend to end things with very open endings because I like to give myself an out if I want to write more in the world; I also tend to write series in general rather than standalones. Even things that were meant to be standalones turn into series. Of the books I've finished I think all of them have ending where I would continue into a series. I cannot think of an exception.

(I might have a problem.)

Also I'm so excited for tomorrow because on top of Supernatural press, I also am going to see if the creators of WtNV will sign my writing binder. And I'm buying a Night Vale Community Radio mug. ^_^

I have wanted to make a podcast since the seventh grade and this is rekindling that entire phase of my life.

I leave a lot of my novels kind of open at the end but not because I plan to write more. I just like stories that end that way. Like The Giver... It leaves it for interpretation of the reader about things... I guess?

IM EXCITED FOR YOU INDI

Haha open-ended stories are great. The Giver is wonderful. <3

THANKS IT WAS AWESOME OH MY LORD I AM NOT OKAY

(Supernatural press was magical and while signing my writing binder Joseph Fink said "Write dangerous things" and then handed it to Jeffrey Cranor, who proceeded to write "Write safe things" and that little combo is now my favorite thing written on that binder.)
