Coffeehouse

Stolen from the board's name since not everyone drinks coffee ;)

So, how do you take your coffee? Or, if not coffee, how do you take your drink?

Do you find that coffee helps you to write? Or is it just your life blood?

Have a seat and chat about your beverage preferences. XD

My coffee? Light and sweet. Milk, two sugars. To quote how I say it every morning when I go to my bagel place :D. I love the taste of it. I'm a big fan of flavored coffees as well as flavored creamers. In my coffee drawer (top drawer of my file cabinet at work), I have York and French Vanilla creamer. And pumpkin coffee. Mmm...

I find that coffee really does help me write, as well as help me function in the mornings. Maybe it's a psychological mindset, but I start drinking it and I know business is about to begin.

I drink cappuccinos when I'm out. If I'm in the house I prefer to drink tea to coffee. I'm currently not leaving the house much, so I'm easily getting through 5-6 cups a day of it. Tetley tea and Yamamotoyama green tea are my preferred drinks at the moment.

:)

I only got into drinking coffee a few months ago. I absolutely hate the taste of black coffee, but I had trouble finding the perfect dosage of everything.

But now I have half a cup of coffee in my snowflake Corel mug with another half of flavored coffee creamer. Right now the Coffeemate Sweet Italian Cream is my favorite creamer, because it just tastes so good. I love the bit of nuttiness to it when you add in enough of it. XD

I wouldn't exactly say that having coffee wakes me up, but it is a definite part of my wake up sequence. XD Mostly because it is so tasty.

I will return later with my experience with tea (which I just remembered I had left to cool a while ago, oops) and the effects of too much caffeine on me. XD

Sadly, I am allergic to tea. I would love to drink more than the herbal blends I've grown to like, but it would not end well for me.

The Sweet Italian Cream is definitely a good one. My favorite is cinnamon.

I love coffee and I love tea, anything to wake me up really. Coffee helps me do everything, it takes the lovely dreams away and replaces them with better ideas on where to go next.

Coffeeeee! I drink some everyday. Though I also like tea, but I don't have an instant tea giving machine like the coffee, so I drink it less.

I usually drink it with creamer, though there's a fine line between too strong and Starbucks chocolate drink sweet. (ugh)

I'm a huge fan of anything caramel from Starbucks. Or all of the fall drinks. But unless it's that sugary, sweet, barely any actual coffee? Not for me. There was a while when I first moved back to the US after living in Spain that I would have cafe con leche literally every night, but I finally managed to get off of that.

Now, I'm more of a Cherry Coke in the morning kind of gal.

I have two full things of the Sweet Italian Cream <333

If I could drink more than like a cup of coffee in a day, I would, but having too much caffeine leaves me feeling sick :( But, I have it in the morning and then yummy tea in the afternoon. XD

Coffee? Yes, please! Tea? Love it!

I don't like caramel or anything too sweet in my coffee. I do like a good cappuccino or a good mochaccino, but never with too much cream or too much sugar.

When it comes to tea, I'm an Earl Grey fan, but I'll also take any of the dark, strong blends. I rarely put milk in it, and never, ever put sugar.

That'll be a Caramel Soya Latte if I'm out and about (they don't taste nice without a syrup) or just plain old black at home!

Sadly I'm extremely lactose intolerant, which means that in terms of taking coffee I don't drink it as much anymore when I'm out because of the amount of times that when I ask "is that with soya" and I get a look that says they can't understand why I can't just take the cows milk one and not have hoity-toity health kick or whatever.

In short: allergies make the world a difficult place, and as a risk averse person they caused me to break my addiciton.

When I'm out, I mostly get cappuccinos. The machines at uni provide really good and cheap ones, in other cases I go to McD or Coffeeshop Company.

At home I make coffee or tea, depending on moods. I usually drink Twinings Earl Grey, sometimes with milk, and recently discovered a yogi tea flavor that mixes black with a variety of spices like orange, cinnamon, chili, etc. The taste is divine. <3

I also drink lots of tap water - the quality's quite good where I live.

Always keep the faith.

I don't drink a lot of coffee, but when I do it's a mild blend with little cream and sugar. Not a fan of flavored ones. When I drink coffee I like it to taste like coffee. However, iced mocha drinks? Divine.

Hot tea is my preferred choice. Green tea with lemon or chai tea are my favorites, but I'll drink pretty much any. Funnily enough, when I first started trying teas I bought a special Indian chai and hated it. Since I didn't want to waste it, I made myself drink it anyway. Eventually I started craving the stuff.

Plain simple Folger's or whatever brand is cheap coffee, with diet sweetener, usually the saccharine version in the pink packets. Never did get used to the Equal stuff as it always tasted more like sugar. I switched in the 80s, lost 10lb because I did use a lot of sweet, didn't miss it.

I pretty much live on it. Yes it does stimulate my writing. Or any other creative efforts or mental effort.

I have a thing where more and more food additives and processing chemicals are turning into migraine triggers, so I now present the appearance of a coffee snob. I grind my own beans, brew in a coffee plunger (aka French press?) and use regular cane sugar. Also unprocessed goat's milk, but that's because my family are dairy farmers.

Over summer I cold-brew - 12 hours brewing in the fridge, mix in half-frozen milk... but it ain't summer right now. Just thinking about that is making me cold.

Today's coffee comes courtesy of me thinking it was a Monday morning (thanks to my two days off). I got up, put on coffee, looked at the iPhone and went, "Keri, it is goddamn Saturday. Go back to bed."

So I did. And I now I drink slightly cold coffee ;)

Tea, Coffee, Water

Water gets and keeps me going. I just drink regular tea or coffee because I like them. I discovered that I adore Darjeeling tea today. I also like white tea and Earl Gray. Not so fond of Oolong or Breakfast Tea. And while I like green tea, I just suck entirely at making it. Too much caffeine gives me headaches, nausea and the shakes, so I have to be careful to not overindulge in regular tea or coffee, especially coffee. Mint tea gets or keeps me going, but I mostly drink it because I like it. Other herbals I'll drink sometimes, but they aren't my favorite.
