Writing.. under the influence ;]

so adult forum, you're pretty quiet.

do you write and drink (booze, or hell, even caffeine highs for those of you who *aren't* borderline alcoholics) at all?

Favorite drink?
Liquor, wine, beer? All three? TELL ME ABOUT IT :3

Personally, I like wine the best. White wine all the way. Liquor.. just ends badly. (But I still love margaritas) I can have a few drinks before my writing goes to hell and I start typuggs and it denst mak senss anymoar. But until I hit that point, sometimes I can come up with some really good ideas.

My writing comes out silly when I drink wine. Just one glass and I'll be tipsy - it's the only drink it happens with. Cider tends to lead to mind-numbingly slow typing - but it's what I drink most in summer because it's so refreshing. Some of my most "creative" writing comes after a couple of glasses of vodka & coke or a few Black Russians.

Bailey's Irish Cream liqueur is easily my favourite drink but I only buy it in once a month unless it's on sale.

I tend to do best when I'm on large amounts of caffeine. Helps me stay awake a bit more. Alcohol...I haven't gotten, say, mad-drunk. Actually, I don't think I've had enough to affect my writing, so I'm not even sure how it'd affect my writing, period. Mudslides do sort of help me with gaming, though. Just no influence on my writing, is all.

Haven't been drunk often enough to try writing while I was. Might end up giving it a shot this July depending on how stressed out work makes me.

As far as preferred drinks, I'm a rum person on the whole. Though a good cider (especially pear cider) is never a poor choice.

Drinking and gaming is even better than writing.

My neighbors probably disagree though!

I am a boring person who doesn't drink alcohol because either I'm super picky about taste or I just don't have it in the house.

But, as I'm sure that all of my friends will agree, I get hyper enough that I don't need any sort of substances to give me a high. XD

Yeah it generally tastes pretty nasty, I think it's an acquired taste. And when you don't taste anything, that's when bad things happen anyway. :(

Pft, alcohol is delicious ;).

I drink but not often when I write. But sometimes I do and I haven't seen much of a difference yet. Perhaps it is a month for experimenting.

I plan on making a mixed drink for all of my characters. Just naming it after them - not influenced by them. I hate White Russians and Black Russians and TRC is based in Russia ;)

Coincidentally, I'm drinking a Black Russian right now. And a White Russian is the only cocktail I'm prepared to pay bar prices for. :P

Either a Black or White Russian would be perfect for the part I'm on in my June NaNo. Because two of my main characters have been taken to Russia...Willingly? Pfft, no! But, still. That'd be a great way to get into my writing zone for this portion.

I cannot be having caffeine too much or alcohol either which both are bad for my heart. The only that is good for me is diet green tea citrus, or diet Raspberry white tea. or diet soda even Gatorade or Powerade too.

I cannot drink much alcohol though i prefer wine coolers or strawberry daiquiris. Which will help me write some more and think to know which i can put in my novels. While taking notes for them when i am not at home.

"Why am i the only one out of this group who thinks she is nuts." - Unknown character in new novel.

"Alpha there is problems heading up north we need to check out and find out what it is." - Liam from Alpha Alliance

"Master do you need anything else i can get you or do you want me to leave you right now." Peter from Blood Bond

"Eric seems to be interested in me. I hope i can get to know him better. And not have my heart broken again." - Bella Swan from A Viking and his Shield

Kristina and Beastfire, you can have ALLL the Russians, be they white or black.

I'm gonna stick with either Midori sours (my go-to at any bar) or some nice whiskey. And if my characters end up in Ireland, I know who to blame!

I can vouch that Keri drinks mostly midori sours [yummm] or whiskey [eeeewwww. She made me do a whiskey shot with her in May. I might have almost died. Trufax].

I definitely am a huge fan of the Drunken WriDay. I usually write about 10k... And save between 3k an 5k of that for major editing later. Not a total loss. And it's fun to read back and see what the heck I was thinking after.

My preferred drink is anything containing tequila or rum... And the sweeter, the better!

Not a boring person, but I don't drink either. Or well, only on special occasions (my birthday, new years etc.), that is because of my singing. I tend to loose my voice easily after drinking, So yeah, then I'd rather don't drink ^_^
So I'd like to state that's NOT boring! I like to go to the pub and clubs with my friends and people I meet simply don't understand how I'm can go without alcohol, but I'm craziest of them all!

Though on few occasions I have been drinking, I'd sometimes try and write something. That just ends up -well- not that great haha.

And as far as cafeine goes; no can do haha. With my ADD I react quite strongly to it :P

I write well on suger, chocolate! Hmmm

I'm for caffeine all the way. Sometimes it can give me that extra charge to keep going or it can just be a good thing to help me focus. It's good on those long nights full of inspiration when my physical self is tired but the rest of me is wide awake plus it scares off the migraines. So how it effects my writing other than my typing speed can increase and my characters might get a little bit more hyper i don't know there.

Caffeine is my energy. I have become one of those coffee-slaves that you see at six in the morning, unable to say two coherent words until the delicious goodness is in my veins.

And to believe that I went 22 years without any!

Definitely not boring to not drink! I get really sick after drinking [not hangover sick, either. Slight allergy sick and medication-reaction sick], so if it's a spontaneous "Ooh! Let's go out!" night, I'll be drinking water / Coke while everyone else is getting smashed. If it's planned, I'll skip my meds that morning and just be headachey the next morning.

But, it's the going out part that's the most fun.

When I started my current job, they had free coffee in the breakroom. I was so excited, even if it tastes like day old garbage. <3

Water is my beverage while writing. Drink lots of it and the running back and forth to the bathroom will give me mini-breaks.

But if you see me at a restaurant or bar I'll be drinking a beer or a cosmo.
