storyline and character adoption thread 2007

Here's where you can post any ideas you've got for others to use. :)

Have cake fights in the middle of completely serious scenes. Then have one character get either really drunk or really silly, and attempt to use the cake frosting as skin moisterizer. More of a dare, really, but hey, feel free to use it.

\"We\'re all here because we\'re not all there.\"
So far...I have a road trip, a cameo by Tony Bourdain, a night of romance and pot at Virgina Beach, Puff the Magic Dragon (the actual dragon) and a stop at the Jersey Shore planned. Anything YOU\'d like to see in my JulNo? email/AIM me!

Oooh, okay, I think I can adopt this idea! Seems like a nice fit with my story, though I'm not sure about the moisturizer part.

One of my original story ideas was called Travel Stones:

A bracelet of stones, each a semi-precious stone that had certain powers to it. The person who wore it could invoke a stone for a different use, but the main purpose of the bracelet was to Travel to the Fae Realm, and not loose one-self {as most people who found their way to Fae Realm were lost forever and turned into Fae themselves}.

This just came out of nowhere to me.

A young lawyer falls in love with a nice guy she met. They'd been going out for a while, when her brother was brutally murdered, and her boyfriend was accused of the murder. Of course, he had a motive. This brother did not approve of their relationship, and made several threats against the guy to leave his sister alone. Since our guy worked for her brother, he was in danger of losing his job, but he loved this woman. Now, the police have got him in jail. She knows he didn't do it. Or did he?

A short retelling of one of my unfinished stories:

A teenage girl who loves adventure (as well as a few of her friends) finds a cave inhabited by dragon people.

I'd got loads of possible ideas, but I've already passed them on to other people, or they were ideas I'd twisted from somebody else's...

In the end, I combined a project I'd wanted to do for ages with some of my new ideas.

Anyway, I haven't got any to donate... yet.

I think I've posted this somewhere else before and I know its super late but what the heck.

A jock is found dead inside a box. His murder sounds like someone acted out the Schrödinger's cat thought experiment. This leads the police to belive the perp was a physic major. As they look into this case and interview people they get all kinds of Quantum mechanics realated reasons why the person talking didn't do it. To insure that the Uncertainty Principle is used only once at least three other principles/laws/theories must be used.

-BP for this plot are if you have people contradict each other by using two differnt theories.
-DBP to you if you have the police watch the Understanding episode on Quantum Mechanics to have any idea what the physic students are talking about.
-TBP if one of the police officers ends up walking out of the room, and going home to sit in a coner for the rest of their life after seeing said video because "life is so unimporant and I seem so very small now"

To make it a little easier you can use math chemistery and just regular physics theories/laws too.

Yes, you have. I think this is my second time trying to adopt it, too.

Just thought I ought to mention, I'm adopting this for my project for next month. Thanks. :)

Ooh, I need a story to adopt, but none of them really seemed to click in my mind...

If there's anyone still on here now its August...

JulNo \'07: 59,557 words.
NaNo \'07: 52,452 words.
JulNo \'08: 53,556 words.
NaNo \'08: epic fail.
JulNo \'09: 19,949 words.
Ever since then? Eep, university.
