Stupid Jellified Ghosties...


I have a dilemma. It goes like this-
Dilemma: My MC is being chased by these creatures. Her pursuers are supposed to be a bunch of half-ghosts that got fused together into one, big, conglomerate being.

That's all great and fine, but half way through the chase scene, I'm finding that I'm running out of words to describe them. There's only so many times I can use the word "thing."

Any suggestions for what to call them? I've been searching for an apt "real" name, but other ways of referring to them would be excellent.
