Shendyt/Shenti? And current fashion trends...

Can anyone tell me what an Ancient Egyptian shenti (sometimes spelled shendyt) looks like when unrolled and lying flat? Is it like a modern scottish kilt (way I'm envisioning) or have I got it wrong?

Also, can anyone tell me what the current fashion trends for pre-teen and young teen boys is right now in the USA, especially in shoes. Last thing I remember, Airwalks, Doc Martins, and Converse All-Stars were popular (I've just admitted my age, haven't I? :embarrassed: ), and my MC is desperate for me to bring him into the 21st century.

Thanks,
Gail

I don't really know about US, but maybe Nike is famous worldwide nowadays? Boys at my age *around 18-19* like wearing shoes from that brand. Converse is still on trend, too :)

Don't forget vans. Any of the low-rise canvas shoes or straight up skate shoes are a staple in a lot of boys' collections.

Wow! Thanks, it's great to know that skate shoes, converse and nike are popular at the moment. That's exactly the kind of information I need! :D
