Perfect Writing Scenario

I had a lot of great feedback from an earlier post, and one of the responses inspired this question: what is your perfect or ideal writing scenario. We all have a real one: writing on the bus to school, after the kids are asleep before bed, during dinner, during our lunch breaks--but that isn't necessarily what we want. So I want to know, if you could write whenever and where ever and however, what would that be like?

For me, I would write in a house overlooking a misty forest, with a thick, shady garden. My family magically disappears while I write and comes back when I'm done. I sit at my desk near a bay window and type my story on my laptop. I'd always have candles burning and coffee on the pot. This or I'd like to write sitting from a balcony from an apartment in a nice city, overlooking a scenic downtown. In either scenario, I don't have to work.

Oh I used to love writing when we went on our holidays.
Actually, that is how I started writing as a kid. I didn't like the storys in my books (well some books), or they didn't end the way I wanted them to end. And I just started writing my own stories, while we were travelling by car for two or three days (one way trip). After a couple trips I started writing during the holiday as well, liking it so much... And writing at home as well, completing my holiday-creations.

Er - wait, I'm going off-topic here.

My ideal writing scenario would be back in the days on our holidays. Going to Austria in the winter. Write all the way down there. Enjoy my holiday by skiing all day. Get back to our place, take a shower, write the rest of the day. Fall asleep exhausted and start over the next days.
Repeat 'till holiday is over and have enough inspiration left to write my way back to Holland.
To bad we're not doing any family holidays anymore -_-

To get a lot of writing done my ideal scenario is in an office or somewhere on campus, like the library where I can focus on writing. As far as prose, I think nostalgic places I've been before, where I wouldn't be too distracted, kind of in a familiar place, but also kind of taking a break from the norm.

I'm not picky, really... Somewhere with a view outside or just outside itself. That's really all I need.

My perfect writing scenario would be getting up early without having to wake up to a blaring alarmclock and not being tired and wanting to go back to sleep.
A nice cup of coffee or tea and breakfast on the balcony (if I had one) and nice weather of course (if I had that too) fresh air and big windows with white curtains moving slightly in the wind. Open glass doors to the balcony and a small writing desk with a comfortable chair close to the balcony so I can look out from where I'm sitting.
A computer that never crashes or forgets to save. Nice and quiet, nobody that wants or demands my attention, no phone ringing and no internet to distract, and a bowl of ready cut vegetables and fruit to much while writing.
And as I said, preferably really early in the morning, before the world has woken up and before the sun goes up so I can watch the sun and humans awake :) *dreams*

All I want is to be left alone while I write. I could literally just keep writing right where I am and be perfectly content if the room had a door that closes. Or I could move into my bedroom, which does have a door, if it had proper air conditioning.

Ideally? Uh... a better desk chair, sitting with my back to a wall, monitor doesn't face the door, door actually closes, room is air conditioned, not close to my mother's room (She snores. Like a wild boar.)

Or a working laptop would be lovely. Just, y'know, traipse out to the deck at 6 AM and write without having to hook up a bulky cord. (My laptop is currently out of commission, I suspect the screen has died, but before that the battery was basically dead and would hold like ten minutes of charge before it shut off.)

Ideally, a quiet room with my ipod, a note pad, an ink pen and a lovely view. Unfortunately, my hands cramp of a couple of pages of writing so I would never get much actual writing.

I love actually just writing in my room. The only real problem I have is family and plans for the day etc. Most of my writing last JulNo got done between 11pm and 4am. And this year I just can't stay up that late so I'm really behind.

But I love listening to music and writing. My room (when it's clean) has a lot of floor space so I put blankets and pillows down so when I'm frustrated or tired I can relax. I love watching reruns of The Nanny, Cheers, and The Golden Girls for a small 30minute break. Then it's back to work, totally focused on my novel (thanks to writing via WoD).

Goals for JulNoWriMo 2011:

Babbett - fantasy novel
The Murderous Misadventures of Mel Mary - murder mystery

Perfection is a laptop with headphones connected, sitting on a comfy armchair or something similar and--this is important--a window on the side where it's raining(I love to write during the monsoon!) just enough that I can feel the rain on my face; but the laptop doesn't get ruined :D
Also prefer if someone or the other wasn't asking me to do something and thereby interrupting my flow.

The perfect scenario for me would be no disruption from anyone. I don't really care where I am, what I'm sitting on, or what I'm writing with as long as there aren't people wandering by, trying to call me, or making noises of any sort. I suppose I could plug in some earphones and blast music so I can't hear them, but that also means that they could sneak up behind me. So--I'd be perfectly happy writing with no one around.

The perfect writing scenario for myself will be if there is peace and quiet in the house to write. Or writing in my bedroom in the daylight when everyone else in the house is asleep. To have more of my writing done for in the morning all the way into the night before going to sleep.

Rain. Rain can help. Just like this wants to make you read a novel, it kinda does the same to wanting to write it.

Oh thats a tough one!
Hmm, maybe in a special writing room surrounded by books. (I love the smell of books)
At a large mahogony desk that sits in front of a picture window that overlooks a horizon. That way I could write in front of a sunset or sunrise, a rain storm or a snow storm.
I would need a Bose stereo system in there too with an endless stream of music.
Espresso machine close by :)

Blog? Yeah I've got that: awesome blog

Well, I'm okay with my current desk and computer setup. I have a couple of hours every day that I'm allowed to spend writing without interruption and my mascot (Leroy the Rubber Chicken) keeps an eye on me. About the only thing I'd change right now is that I wish I faced the window.

Oh, and I'd like to have all the required ingredients for a coffee available simultaneously. Seriously, I'm cursed. I need gas for the stove so I can boil the kettle, then coffee, milk and sugar. It's truly astounding how often at least one of those just isn't available...

My perfect writing scenario for tonight and in the rest of the morning. Will be to find some quiet place to work on writing my novel. Somewhere in a small house within the forest. and have a big garden outside the window with vegetables and flowers mixed in it. With a lush green grass and nice place to sleep and get up in the morning to write with more thoughts. And everything in my head to write about which will be good enough for me!
