daily prompts

A lot of times when I'm trying to think of what to write, I like to take a one-word prompt and write whatever comes into my head for a few minutes. It usually gives me ideas I wouldn't have thought of otherwise. Sometimes they're related to my novel, sometimes not, but the exercise always gets the words flowing.

So I thought I'd post a daily prompt. Write whatever comes to you for five minutes (or longer if you're on a roll). It can be related to your JulNo, or something completely different (of course, if it's part of your JulNo, it's helping you raise your word count, which is, after all, what this forum is for... ;)). You can post it or not. It's up to you. The goal is just to start writing and get ideas for where to take your storyline.

If you guys find this useful, I'll continue it through July, so let me know.

And now, without further ado, your first prompt:

Nifty. And a bit more focused than the ones I'll be posting, so we have options for different styles. Or for those of us who are gluttons for punishment, double the fun. :D

Do you have any spare storylines?

Hm...I know I've got some I won't use, but I was looking for them the other day and couldn't find them. I'll put up a thread for people to post ideas. :)
