I'm 29. I have written several books but don't have any published. I haven't actually shopped them around. I guess I haven't finished anything I think is particularly marketable yet. But I've got a few books that I am working on editing and tuning up.

Thought I'd drop in and say hello. I'm 24 and mostly focused on trying to finish up college. My first full novel writing month event was last year's NaNoWriMo. The manuscript I ended up with after NaNo was the first I've ever finished, despite trying to write one for years. I realized the time constraint is in my favor as far as keeping me on task. I'm kind of re-writing my NaNoWriMo manuscript, because I veered off of my original storyline and the manuscript turned out weak and scattered.

I'm 47 and just in case my ancient eyes missed it, I think that makes me the oldest.

I think I've got passed the "Get off my Lawn" phase. I'm more into the "Let me tell you a story about your Dad when he was 13" phase.

Loving it!

Can I have tea?

Yep - there's pretty much any kind of drink you want available here. Right now I have a (virtual) warm mocha thickshake. Technically that could be called a thin custard, but not to worry.

(In real life I've got a cooling cup of decaf and a bottle of lemon cordial...)

Me? Bouncing off the walls because it's midnight in another 30 minutes? Nah...

Hiya! I'm twenty...er...five, I think. With the memory bank of a ninety year old, clearly. I'm going to be writing a YA paranormal romance novel XD *bounce-excited!*

....

Being an adult sucks. Especially if you have kids that devour your time (and your food off your plate, nevermind that they just had their own) and decide to butcher your plans of getting up at 6.30am on the 1st of July to get started with your writing, by waking up at 6am and knocking on your bedroom door demanding 'breakfast! Mummy! BREAKFAST!'

And all the other responsibilities that are lined up for the day, like going to a parent course follow-up an hour from now that will be ongoing for the entire morning, then coming home to make lunch before heading off to the shops to buy some necessities, which could take up to two hours. Ah well. Maybe I'll get a chance to start writing once I get home this afternoon then./end grumpy rant

I can't wait to get my head into the blissful world of young adult ignorance and freedom and romance.

Is anyone else having obstacles delay their Julnowrimo, or am I the only one? :-/

Anyway, hopefully I'll get to catch you guys in the chat room.:D

I'll have to push my first writing hours in the evening/night also. Because I'll have to get to work (at the supermarket, cuz drivings lessons and University aren't exactly too cheap O.o). Then I'm off work; need to eat something fast and then get into the car and drive for an hour.
Then I'm home at 17:30... which is quite early... considering.

Hello peeps! When everybody is introducing themselves with their age, then so shall I. I'm one year older or younger than you. :) (Though on my drivers license and passport it says I'm soon 25, but I don't feel like that, I feel much older and much younger. (mostly much younger))

I was going to write a book in a week (yes, I'm mad, try to juggle that with work and boyfriend and social life) then I found this site among the saved links in my browser and thought WOHOO! NaNoWriMo (same username) in july! :) Because the book I had planned to write in one week I had first planned to write this November, but I couldn't wait (little impatient one)

So, now I'm here! burning the words into the pages. and I'm still gonna try for the book in a week (but I'm probably gonna fail, no I'm not, I can do it, no you can't realize that, shut up!) and I'm armed with coffee! Coffee and chocolate! :D

Wow, good luck on that book-in-a-week! If I am a fifth of the way through in one week I'll be pleased.

I'm August, and I am also a university student. I'm still 19 until October, but since I graduated high school so long ago that I really ought to have a bachelor's degree by now (if I actually did things properly), I wouldn't really put myself into the teen category.

I'm writing a whodunit-thriller combination which isn't entirely planned out yet. I have enough notes to start writing but I am too interested in Wimbledon...

Hi everybody, I'm Vicki. My ID says I'm 44, but I say I'm 'Minimum-legal-drinking-age Til I Die'. I don't usually write in July and August - with no a/c, the computer tends to pack up very quickly - but I'm 50K behind on my WriYe goals and it's pretty cool out at the moment, so I'm going to try and catch up a bit. I won't be writing much these first three days, though, as the town's annual festival is in full swing and I'm one block from the main event centre, so it's very noisy, day and night. And today is Canada Day, so there'll be free cake right after the flag raising, in about half an hour from now. I am constitutionally incapable of resisting free cake. 8-)

Tereseh - book in a week can be done. Or at any rate, 50k in 8 days can definitely be done. During WriDaNoJu I scrapped everything I'd written in week one and then wrote the entire 50k in week two + 1 day (best week two ever lol). The story is at 100k right now with only two more chapters to finish it.

BlueAlien - free cake? Awesome!
