It seems to be working... Thanks!

Now I've come to realize the beauty of the "Like" button. I am now in support of this feature, even if it does have to wait until next year.

I wish it would go away... there's really no rhyme or reason why we're getting hit (I have all of the protections in place, including CAPTCHA and e-mail verification), so I'm not sure how they're still able to get through it.

Trust me, I hate it more, because we're having to manually remove all of the bad posts. And later next month I'll be going through and deleting about 1,000 people with non-existent e-mail addresses. It's a nightmare.

It makes it easier (at least in my opinion, can't speak for the others) when you guys report the posts to us... so thank you all for doing that. :)

So Long And Thanks For All The Fish!

Im not sure if this is the right place to do it, but I want to offer a big "Thank You!" shout-out to admin for hosting the experience XD. I feel this July has been a month well spent and I have no complaints other than to wish I always had this much time to write. It was my first NoWriMo and a seriously successful one at that. Thanks for the venue :D! Im sure Ill see you next summer. Until then, I remain,

Your servant in parchments and ink-stains,

It can't be hard to verify real email addresses. Security increase can be improved from what it's at now. I'd go into detail but I'm on an Ipod so I'll get on a comp in a few days.

When the number in the word count box is edited, it brings one back to the User Control Panel. Is there any way that it could be changed so that it leaves you on the page you were at? Because I think that it's slightly annoying to have to navigate back to the page you were on previous to updating.

Good point - I hadn't even thought that, but it will be looked into for next year. :)

There has to be some sort of security flaw with how the forum program was written overall. I am using e-mail verification and CAPTCHA already, so I really just have to find free time and really look into it.

I mean, you can't even login until you receive a password in your e-mail inbox... so spam bots have either found a way to hack around the XMB Forum Software or there are actual humans behind it all... (which is likely - see here: http://shaunak.ws/journal/human-spambots for example)

This wouldn't surprise me with just how specific some of the spam posts have been - like this one, for example. It was turned into a genuine discussion.

I just noticed that when you are on someone's profile page and you click the picture, it sends you to About :Blank. Small bug, I know, but it's a sloppy bug.

If they've a URL in the "Site" field of their profile it actually redirects you to the user's website immediately after.

But wouldn't it be neater to only hyperlink the avatar if there actually is a site to direct to?
