The end of JulNo

So, JulNo has officially ended for me (12.09 AM now, Australian Eastern Time) and I have 72,536 words, beating my last year's record by 10k.

I have to say I'm sad it has ended, which means I've lost one activity (writing madly to reach 50k). I'm doing AugNo, but still, I have lower goal since I have to concentrate more on my college.

How's everyone's end of JulNo? Are you going to do augno too? :)

Yes, you can find it here.

I almost didn't win this July. I crammed the final 15.8k into twelve hours today. That doesn't including time taken out to eat, socialise and deal with the return of my friend's brother's hamster. But now that it's over I'm glad I put in the effort... even if my right pinky did give out in the first hour. :P

I'll most definitely be taking part in AugNo too. I'm aiming for 50k again next month.

I'd heard about Augno but I haven't actually plotted out anything more to write. I could finish this novel, but I don't have the rest of the outline for it... so I'm thinking about doing my own personal AugDrawMo to try and improve my art skills (or lack thereof) and get some of these characters down on paper. With any luck that'll also help me plot what I want to write next.

I've got 15 minutes left in JulNo, but I've only done about 5k in the past three weeks and I'm just calling it done for now. I really planned on getting a lot more done, but I hit the 50k mark, so I guess that's what counts. I won't be doing AugNo, as I really don't feel like starting a new project in 15 minutes. I'd much rather try to finish this book before November than start anything new. At the slow pace that I usually write at, I don't see that happening, but I can always try.

Got to 50k with a couple of hours to spare. I'll be doing AugNo as a warm down and excuse to finish a fanfiction idea I liked so much. I've had it planned out for months. I just didn't have the motivation, but that'll change.

For what it's worth, AugNo is a choose-your-goal, so you don't have to hit 50k next month AND you don't have to start anything new. [:

Good lord, i'd never do two in a row. I have one month in which i will either work a little bit on last month's book or just relax, and then in September I start to casually put together November's book. That way I'll be in a position to take a week off of thinking about it all right before NaNo starts. Worked great for me last year. :) Ahhhh.... can't wait....

Some how I wrote a Thriller?!

It hurt a lot to write, I hated almost every second of it. But when I gave it a read through, it didn't hurt to read it. Which I was glad of.

Hmm.... my goal would end up being 10k or something... maybe instead of setting a word count goal, I'll just aim to finish this stupid novel. Should probably get started on that then.

I have signed up for it, but it will probably be a low word count and I plan to use it for a few different things even though I would love to finish this one I am working on but I have to rethink it a lot.

I barely finished this month down to 2 minutes let in the day and I reached it by 59 words. So glad I was able to finish but sad to see it go.

Whoo! I've been looking forward to my second AugNo since the end of the 09 August run. Best month for a wrimo in my opinon. I'm hoping to get at least 30k this year, which for me, would be monumental. Haven't started officially yet but I'm hoping to get some writing done tonight.
