They're still considered mainstream in Japan? O.o I thought that their stuff would be too old for that.

On the other hand, you've now given me enough band names to keep me happily searching YouTube for hours now, while writing. :D

I suppose I should have been more precise... Anything that wasn't American mainstream was what I was asking about. I'm not American, but in the music department, being Canadian is the next best thing.

I just heard Orianthi's "According to you" song. Even though I assume she's mainstream (I heard her on the radio), I'm going to say that I love that song. The lyrics really match what my main character would be thinking about one of the guys in my novel.

Oh, and Code Monkey is good too, even though I'm pretty sure it's almost mainstream. Although me liking that one has nothing to do with my novel, and everything to do with my "real" job in the insurance industry. :crying:

ooh, I loved that movie! My memory is crap, and it's been a while since I saw it, so I don't remember the soundtrack, but I'll have to look it up now. I also need to buy that on blu-ray so I can watch it again. It's the movie that made me see Hugh Jackman for the hottie that he is. Wolverine didn't do it for me, but that movie, oh yeah. (I'm weird.)

COMPLETELY agree. It was The Fountain and Van Helsing for me - him as Wolverine does nothing for me *shrugs*

SMAP and Koda have both released new music recently. The album, "We are SMAP!" is actually released next Wednesday. :P

Wow, Equinox, it's surprising how similar our tastes are :D I love Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Skillet (they are my big three at the moment), and Paramore as well :)
By the way, I have added those who have Last.fm account. This is mine.

Wow, that is cool. :D My big three right now would have to be the same, actually. I don't know too many people with my same taste, so that is pretty surpising to me, too. XD

So I think my playlist from now until I'm sick of it is going to be this song, just this song - Paradichlorobenzene (Chorus version).

It is absolutely hypnotic.

Yeah... hmmm... I can't write without music, either... Depending on the situation in my story I listen to music... Although I love J-Rock, I'm not found listening to it while I'm writing often. However, when I read I really need silence...

I can't write without music. My music changes with the mood of my novel. Sometimes Skillet, Celtic Ladies, Kerfuffle, Paramore, THe String Quartet, Boys like Girls, Debbusy, Glee, or Barcelona.
