"It's not as bad as it sounds." Jack told him. "Most of the aliens aren't dangerous, just scared because they're in a new place." A moment later he crossed the room to pull a small notebook from the pocket of his, now dry, coat. Back at the bar he flicked it open and brandished a page at Serin. "We should go and visit Gwen and Rhys while we're in Cardiff. It'll be near their baby's birthday, and I've missed them."
"Jack, we're not here to visit your past. We're here following up a lead."
"But I haven't seen them in years." Jack told him, "I don't even know if the kid's a boy or a girl..." Serin sighed.
"If we're in the area we'll pop in, okay?" Jack grinned, leaving the bar to put the diary away. While he was gone Serin rolled his eyes at Burk. "He's like a kid, somedays." He explained, taking hold of another drink from the bar and checking the alcohol percentage before taking a swig from the bottle.

"You people and your quaint little categories."

The door quietly creaked open, and a tall, thin man in his early twenties stepped into the room. Dark brown eyes scanned the room, and he was combing through his shoulder-length hair with his fingers. Finally, he located an empty table, close to Jack, Serin, and Burk. He slid through the crowd and sat down, pulling a lightweight laptop out of his pack.

He turned it on and checked for a WiFi signal. Upon realizing that there wasn't one, the man swore under his breath.

"Just my luck..." he muttered.

[It's July, and I don't have the time to keep up with RP forums, so bye!]

Suddenly, blue and white swirls surrounded Kathrine and Jonathon. Then, they were gone. Maybe the connection to their dimension was slipping. Maybe it was something else. But they were gone.
