No comedy writers yet? Count me in. I'm writing a superhero story, featuring all the capes and spandex and cheesy catchphrases... without any actual superpowers.

I've never written a novel-length parody, so sustaining the humor will be a challenge. Still, I am ridiculously excited. :>

Having never written a comedy, I think I'm in over my head. However, I'm excited about taking the plunge.

My novel concerns an author whose special relationship with his characters is causing him problems. To Nicholas, they are as real as he. When he decides to end his writing career, they gather together to try to change his mind. Who will have the last word? O.o

I wrote my first parody for nanowrimo. I am attempting another this wrimo. This one will be a period peice so it required a great deal of research. I think the best parodies/satires are thorough in their mockery of their topic. Honestly, I'm a little behind on my research but it's just going to have to be ready as is.

Mine isn't specifically comedy but it has a hell of a lot in it. It's a Fantasy/comedy I guess :P

Mine's more in the young adult genre, but I know that there's gonna be a tons of humor in it! XD

I've been on MLIA and FML a lot these pass couple of days, saving some of them because I found the situations so hilarious that I just HAVE to use it in my novel somewhere!
