My stupid plot keeps mutating!

Vulpine_Wolf - 7-13-2008 at 02:59 PM

My horror/sci-fi seems to be a developing a supernatural element. Which is all well and good, but I have no idea how to introduce this without throwing everything else off kilter.

Anyone got any advice?
(Thanks in advance ^_^)

well lots of horror movies have supernatural plots: the ring, the grudge, every ghost movie evar, amityville, poltergeist, you know. So I think the two are very compatible.
I would also try to go back, maybe after you write a bit more, and throw in little hints and indications towards the beginning that the story is going to be this way. then again, it could always have the element of "pfft. ghosts aren't real" *killed by ghost* so, yeah. ? i don't know if that helped at all but that's my two cents.

Mine has mutated a lot, as well. I'm just going to keep writing, and if I get stuck in a rut sometime, go back and write in some backstory to help the new elements not seem so out of place.

Go with veda's plan and keep writing. Why do you think people rewrite?
