Yuih is a seventeen-year-old who has lost all his memories of who he was. Living with the gentle farmer family what found him who found him five years prior, it could seem wise to just let the past be the past. But one memory will not leave him alone. It haunts him in the form of a re-occurring dream: he is fighting another boy his age, in armour of black, the scene is in flames and Yuih is urging the this boy to forget something, ensuring that they could still be friends, even without the tyranny of "The Titan."
Could it be an omen? Who was 'The Titan?' And how was it connected to Yuih? Burning with a passion to know he begins inquiring from every traveller that crosses the village, "have you heard of The Titan?" His efforts are to no avail until one day a mysterious old gypsy witch passes through.
"The end of the tale," she wheezes in his ear, "is at the end of the Dragon's tale."
She gives to Yuih the HiNoMe, a strange glass sphere that can sense concentrations of energy. He has not a moment to ponder on these events, for that very same night the gypsy witch is murdered.
Yuih decides to set off after the murderer and head for the Dragon Continent in the hopes that it will lead him to his past.
But when he arrives in the cold and clandestine City Highlights, as the events begin to unfold, a frightful question dawns on Yuih which he cannot ignore: the person he was before, was it a servant of good, or evil? |
