JulNoWriMo Title: Decadence
JulNoWriMo Summary: Decadence is about a boy who has lived in a small, rural village all his life. The families there were all of one faith, and the parents all worked hard to shelter their children from the vulgarity of the real world. But when the recession hits, Leslie Hart (16), and his family are forced to relocate to the city to find work. He enrolls in the local high school, where he meets a bored senior, Nicholas Wogan (18), who is repeating his final year. Wogan -- much in need of something to get him through the last few months of the school year -- is intrigued when he learns of Hart's upbringing, and decides to personally show him just how gruesome the real world can be by giving him first-hand experience with alcohol, sex, drugs and violence; all the while unaware that his game might evolve into something more when his original fascination with Hart develops into infatuation. Meanwhile, Hart falls apart as his eyes are opened to modern society; he's torn between the moral teachings of his religion, and what feels right to him. Even more so when his once cosy home life begins to crumble.
